The product addresses the growing demand for clear, accurate and easily accessible information on the key legal issues to consider in jurisdictions across Africa.
The product covers more than 35 jurisdictions across Africa (shortly increasing to 45).
Commenting on the launch of the product, corporate and commercial partner, Iain Duncan said: “Often investors are presented with a variety of opportunities across many African jurisdictions every month and they can’t be expected to know the legal landscape in each jurisdiction. This product gives subscribers a one stop shop for key information that is relevant to any mining investment or financing and the development of a mining project in each country.”
Yves Baratte, partner and co-chair of the firm’s Africa group, continued: “Our relationship law firms that have worked with us on this product are some of the best firms across the continent with extensive expertise in the mining sector and will, along with ourselves, be well placed to answer any follow-up questions which are relevant to any particular project or development.”
Development of the product was led by Iain Duncan and Yves Baratte, with further involvement of partners, associates and professional support staff from across the firm.
