Commenting on the recent announcement and the 2018 market, Country Head and Corporate & Commercial National Practice Head for Italy, Andrea Accornero said:
“I am very pleased that the work of the Corporate & Commercial group in Italy has been recognised by the Mergermarket league tables. This is also a good recognition of our constant workflow in M&A and Private Equity in the country.
Corporations and private equity houses foresee an acceleration of M&A activity in 2018, both in the number of deals and the size of those transactions. There is a marked increase in interest in global deals, with a rise in the number of acquirers looking to Asia (mainly China and Japan), Brazil, Italy, and Spain for acquisitions. We look forward to a promising year ahead.
