Simmons & Simmons’s Dublin office moves to landmark new offices in Grand Canal Dock
08 May 2019
International law firm Simmons & Simmons has relocated its new Dublin office to a brand new permanent home in Waterways House, a landmark building on Grand Canal Quay in Dublin’s financial district.
The firm has agreed a 10-year lease for 5,287 sqft of office space for up to 60 lawyers in Grand Canal Dock, one of Dublin’s most exciting and sought-after locations and known for the prominence of asset management firms and high-end-tech companies.
Fionán Breathnach, partner and country head, said: “We are delighted to move to Waterways House which is one of the newest and most striking additions to the Grand Canal Dock.
Our new offices will be a fantastic home for the current team as well as the significant number of new lawyers that we plan to add to our Dublin office over the coming months.
We will be located in the heart of the financial services district in Dublin which is the home for many established asset managers and financial institutions, as well as many of those managers who have established a new presence here for Brexit related reasons.”
Waterways House is a new landmark on the Dublin skyline and has been designed by award winning architects Smith and Kennedy. It is a mix of high-grade glazing and Krion, a new-generation solid surface material similar to natural stone.
Simmons & Simmons opened its Dublin office in 2018 with the hire of investment funds partners Fionán Breathnach, Niamh Ryan and Elaine Keane.
