Annemarie Elenbaas-van den Berge
Annemarie has gained experience in all major areas of employment law including advising employment issues in relation to sales forces and agency workers. She has particular expertise in advising on corporate related matters including advising on employment law issues that relate to the mergers and acquisition practice (e.g. employees’ representation and consultation, transfer of undertaking, applicability of collective labour agreements, harmonisation of benefits, position managing directors, compliance aspects etc. and data protection (privacy) matters).
Annemarie litigates frequently on behalf of clients, in employment courts as well as appellate courts. Her litigation work includes staff terminations as well as applying for interlocutory relief and injunction orders.
Pertaining to Article 35b, first paragraph of the Dutch Regulations on the Legal Profession, Annemarie Elenbaas- van den Berge has registered the following field of law with the Dutch Bar Association: Employment Law. This registration obliges Annemarie to obtain ten permanent education points in the registered field of law each calendar year, in accordance with the rules of the Dutch Bar Association.

- advising a broad range of Dutch and international companies in relation to workforce employment matters resulting from restructuring
- advising with respect to Data Protection/Privacy issues.
Annemarie read law at the University at Leiden and graduated in Dutch law and she joined Simmons & Simmons in 2004. In 2012 Annemarie successfully graduated cum laude the specialisation course on employment (Grotius Opleiding Arbeidsrecht).
Annemarie is a member of the Association Employment lawyers Netherlands (Vereniging Arbeidsrecht Advocaten Nederland (VAAN)).
Annemarie is a member of the Training and Know How Committee within Simmons & Simmons.
