Katie has extensive experience of advising both banks and borrowers on a wide variety of banking transactions throughout the UK and in particular, the Nordic region. Her main specialist areas are syndicated and bilateral lending, structured financings and debt restructurings, as well as other general banking work. She also has significant experience in advising corporate trustees and agents, including advising trustees in relation to bank downgrades.
Katie has acted for a wide range of financial institutions, including SEB, and Nordea; as well as borrowers such as The British Land Company and HMV Group.

- advising AnaCap in relation to the financing aspects of the acquisition of Cabot Financial and the merging of Cabot Financial and Apex Credit Management Limited
- advising HMV Group plc on corporate borrowing, including extensions of facilities, restructuring of the Group and its refinancing
- acting for General Healthcare Group, the landlord of the majority of BMI’s private hospital in its protracted £2bn+ restructuring
- advising The Royal London Mutual Insurance Society Limited as lender on the provision of £1.6bn of debt facilities in connection with the proposed acquisition of Resolution plc.
Katie trained at Simmons & Simmons and qualified as a solicitor in England and Wales in 2007. Katie has spent time on two secondments, each at a large international bank.
Katie is based in London and is a managing associate in the banking group, which forms part of the financial markets department.
