Sarah specialises in advising clients on their most sensitive employment law matters, with particular focus on the financial institution and asset management sectors.
Sarah is a partner in our Employment group in Hong Kong. She has extensive experience of advising on all aspects of the employment relationship, including employment contracts and staff handbooks, bonus and employee incentive arrangements, negotiated terminations, employment investigations (with a focus on #MeToo issues), employment disputes and claims, restrictive covenants and the employment aspects of data privacy.
Sarah is listed as a leading practitioner in Chambers Asia Pacific and Legal 500. She is described as “a very seasoned employment lawyer” (Legal 500 Asia 2019) and her advice is described as "concise, pragmatic and easy to understand," and her responsiveness as "extremely impressive, even within tight deadlines" (Chambers Asia 2019). She is a trusted adviser when significant judgement calls are required or where a bespoke solution is needed.
Since joining Simmons & Simmons in 2001, Sarah has completed secondments with General Electric, UBS and Barclays. She is a regular speaker at conferences in Asia on employment law issues.
